SMM2H Requirements

The Sarawak SMM2H programme is among the easiest long-term visa options available for foreigners who want to reside in Malaysia.

SMM2H Eligibility Requirements 

To apply for the Sarawak SMM2H programme, applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements.

• Applicants aged 30 and above

• All nationalities (except Israel & North Korea)​

 

SMM2H Fixed Deposit Requirements

A key part of the SMM2H requirements is the fixed deposit placement in a bank in Sarawak for applicants aged 30 and above.

• RM500,000

 

SMM2H Financial Requirements 

The SMM2H programme requires applicants to meet the financial criteria below. 

 

​Main applicant ( No dependent)

• Pension/payslips with minimum RM10,000 per month.

       OR

• Bank statement showing RM100,000. The latest 3 months bank statements is required.

​

Main applicant ( With dependent)

• Pension/payslips with minimum RM15,000 per month.

       OR

• Bank statement showing RM200,000. The latest 3 months bank statements is required.

 

SMM2H Documents Required

Documents to be prepared typically include:

• Passport

• Resume

• Proof of income

• Bank statements

• Original copy of Letter of Good Conduct

• Overseas medical insurance policy (for applicants and dependents aged 70 and above)

• Marriage / Birth Certificates (if with dependents)
