Sarawak MM2H (S-MM2H) FAQS


1. What is S-MM2H and how is it different from MM2H?

S-MM2H (Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home) is a long-term residency programme managed by the Sarawak State Government.
It is separate from the Federal MM2H, with its own financial requirements, approval process, and benefits.

You must stay in Sarawak for at least 30 days each year to qualify for renewal after 5 years.

2. Can I apply for the Sarawak MM2H (S-MM2H) on my own?

No. All S-MM2H applications must be submitted through a licensed S-MM2H agent approved by the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts.

3. Can I convert my West Malaysia MM2H visa or Sabah MM2H visa to Sarawak MM2H?

Yes, but you must reapply under Sarawak’s programme and meet its specific conditions.


4. How much is the application fee for the Sarawak MM2H (S-MM2H)?

The one-time application processing fee is RM5,000.
The licensed agent fee is RM12,000 for main applicant and RM2,000 for each dependent.

 

5. Are there other fees involved in the S-MM2H application?
Yes. Besides the one time application processing fee  and agent fee, applicants must also cover the following additional costs:

Certified documents
Medical check-up in Sarawak
Medical insurance (for applicant and dependents under 60)
Security bond (varies by country of origin)
Immigration visa fees
These fees may differ depending on your nationality and personal circumstances.
