  1. Terung Asam

Yellowish when ripe, sometimes with a pinkish or reddish hue, used mainly in cooking like Terung Asam soup rather than eaten raw.

    Also known as the Sarawak Olive, it cannot be eaten raw - it needs to be soaked in warm water for a few minutes until soft. Locals like to eat mixing into rice.

     A nutritionally dense fruit, known as Borneo butter fruit. It cannot be eaten raw- it needs to be soaked in warm water for a few minutes until soft. Locals like to eat mixing into rice.
